ree

with these wonderful bath bomb gifts that come in many colours, prepared by our little ones. Made with a base of food-grade ingredients, natural oils and rose petals, our children filled Easter eggs with the mixture.

If you want to make these relaxing fuzzy bath bombs again during the year, this is what you need to know about the ingredients:

All the ingredients we used are food-grade!

1. Epsom salt:

Epsom Salt is believed to help stabilize mood and relieve stress, anxiety and depression. In fact, some researchers claim that taking magnesium increases serotonin (happiness or relaxation hormone) production. Epsom salts also relaxes muscles and relieves pains in the shoulders, neck, back, and skull

2. Castor Oil:

Castor Oil moisturizes the skin by preventing water loss. This can promote good skin health, relieve dryness, and soothe skin inflammation.

3. Lavender Essential Oil:

a few drops of Lavender essential oil promotes relaxation.

4. Baking soda:

It has many benefits for the skin and has anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties.

5. Citric acid:

Citric acid effectively removes dead skin cells, helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and helps to even skin tone, which is why most toners contain citric acid.

6. Cornstarch Powder:

Cornstarch is an odourless powder that works as a carrier for other active ingredients allowing them to penetrate into the skin, thereby providing intense nourishment from within while making the skin soft and blemish-free naturally. It is known to improve the skin’s absorption abilities and is often used to dry breakouts without causing dryness or irritation on the skin

7. Rose Petals:

Known as a powerful mood enhancer, adding rose petals to a warm bath will help rid you of feelings of anxiety. Apart from being a detox for your body, it will also help you sleep better. The natural oils found in roses help retain moisture in the skin.

BATH BOMB RECIPE

INGREDIENTS

· ½ cup baking soda

· ¼ cup citric acid

· ¼ cup cornstarch

· ¼ cup Epsom salts

· ½ cup rose petals

· 3 tsp castor oil

· 6 drops of lavender essential oil

· A few drops of natural food colouring

· 1 tbsp water

· Soap moulds or Easter eggs

Preparation:

1. Mix all the dry ingredients together in one bowl and mix all the wet ingredients together in another bowl.

2. Then add the wet mixture to the dry one and mix together.

Put the mix into a sphere-shaped mould or Easter egg mould and leave it to dry until the next day. Alternatively, you can freeze it for an hour if you are going to use it the same day.

3. When the bath bombs are dry, they are ready to use. You can fill the bath tab and put in a bath bomb and watch the fizzy effect! Then you can take a relaxing bath that will relax your body, soothe your skin and clear your mind.

After all, you deserve it for all the hard work you do and all the love you spread every day!!
